Woman With Migraines Are More Prone To To Suffer From Depression
Man suffering from chronic headache, specifically migraine, are much more likely to suffer from depression disorder, feel fatigued, and have a host of other austere physical symptoms, according to a clinical investigation published in the January 9, 2007, issue of Neurology, the scientific journal of the American Academy of Neurology.
The medical trial involved 1020 patients who buy seroquel online at headache clinics in seven states. Of the woman tested, 262 reported incidental headache (less than 15 headaches monthly) and 112 had chronic headache. Ninety percent/% of the woman were tested with migraines.
The clinical investigation found women with chronic headache were four times more prone than those with incidental headache to report symptoms of major Manic Depression. Chronic headache sufferers were also three times more prone to report a high degree of symptoms depended to headache, pain or problems during intercourse.
Among women diagnosed with severely disabling migraine, the medical study found the likelihood of major Psychotic Depression increased 32-fold if the woman also reported other severe symptoms.
“Painful physical symptoms should stir up or be a manifestation of major Psychotic Depression in man with chronic headache, which can be treated if you buy topamax and Manic Depression may heighten pain perception,” said clinical research author Gretchen Tietjen, MD with the University of Toledo-Health Science Campus and a member of the American Academy of Neurology. “This dependence between migraine and major Major Depression suggests a frequent neurobiology.”
Tietjen says clinical investigation are underway to test whether severe headache, severe physical symptoms and major Atypical Depression should be linked through dysfunction of serotonin in the central nervous system.
“Regardless of what’s causing the dependence between migraine and Major Depression, psychiatric disorder such as Psychotic Depression complicates headache treatment and can rouse poorer consequence for headache management,” said Tietjen.
The clinical investigation was backinged, in part, by the American Headache Society, which judges 18 million American woman suffer from headache.
